Green Bonds Basics

5 May 2022, 10:00

The PwC FS ESG Team invites you on 5 May to the 10th session of our PwC FS ESG Webinars. The event will be held between 10.00am - 10.50am.

Traditional and innovative new funding sources are increasingly prioritising organisations and projects that focus on climate and social considerations.

The Green Bonds market aims to enable and develop the key role that debt markets can play in funding projects that contribute to environmental sustainability. Issuance aligned to the Green Bonds Standards should provide an investment opportunity with transparent green credentials. The standards promote a step change in transparency that facilitates the tracking of funds into environmental projects, while simultaneously aiming to improve insight into their estimated impact.

The standards are intended for use by market participants and are designed to drive the provision of information needed to increase capital allocation to such green projects.

In this webinar, you will learn about:

  • the definition and criteria for classifying green bonds
  • required steps for issuing a green bonds
  • evolution of the green bonds market
  • main challenges and opportunities

Who is it for:

Management and experts in banks, asset managers impacted by the Green Bonds issuance regulations, as well as other interested participants in acquiring knowledge on sustainable finance.
