Postponement of the application deadline for the common tax mark for diesel and kerosene: GEO no. 2/2024

By Government Emergency Ordinance no. 2/2024 (GEO no. 2/2024), the deadline for marking diesel and fuel oil and energy products treated as such from the excise duties perspective with the ACCUTRACETM PLUS marker has been postponed.

Yellow 124 solvent marker will be used until 31 May 2024. As of 1 June 2024, only the new ACCUTRACETM PLUS Euromarker will be used.

In detail

Government Emergency Ordinance no. 115/2023 introduced the obligation to mark diesel and fuel oil and energy products treated as such from the excise duties perspective with the ACCUTRACETM PLUS marker as of 18 January 2024.

By GEO no. 2/2024, the deadline for applying the ACCUTRACETM PLUS marker has been postponed until 1 June 2024.

Economic operators will have the opportunity to continue to mark diesel and fuel oil and energy products treated as such with the Yellow 124 solvent marker until 31 May 2024. As of 1 June 2024, only the new ACCUTRACETM PLUS marker will be used.
