Emotional Intelligence Development Solutions

Asses and improve your emotional intelligence with 4 programmes

Bring the EI science and knowledge to your team and company by joining our next EI Leadership sessions!

How do emotions impact us?

The Science of Emotions shows that the way we feel influences three very important parts of ourselves:

  • the way we THINK and the decisions that we make, both productively and unproductively;
  • the way we BEHAVE and therefore how we connect, collaborate and communicate. And,
  • the way we PERFORM.

Pleasant emotions tend to have a ‘broaden and build’ effect, whereas unpleasant emotions tend to have a ‘narrow and limit’ effect on these parts of ourselves.

So, what is emotional intelligence?

Emotional Intelligence or EI, is a set of competencies that help us become more aware of our own emotions and the emotions of others as well as how to manage both.

What are the benefits of developing our EI?

  • Emotionally intelligent leaders use these competencies to help drive the best decisions, behaviour and performance in the workplace.
  • EI competencies also help us role model exemplary behaviour, persuade and influence, and make effective decisions.
  • Being an emotionally intelligent leader involves insight; insight into how we are demonstrating our EI and how we can improve it.
  • Demonstrating these competencies in the workplace helps us to be better leaders, improve our wellbeing and resilience, and help us manage stress effectively.
  • EI competencies also underlie the quality of our relationships outside of the workplace. Developing our EI can help make us be better partners, parents, siblings and friends.

How to develop EI Leadership skills?

Based on emotional intelligence and social neuroscience, ”Leading with EI” is a powerful, interactive leadership learning program that boosts essential leadership skills for 2021 and beyond.

It is a complete and modular programme, offering a mix of training, feedback and coaching solutions, for teams and individuals, covering all aspects of an EI leader in six 90 minute live online sessions.

About:

Leadership is fundamentally about facilitating high performance, thereby motivating others to do things effectively and efficiently. Emotional intelligence is a key attribute that helps leaders achieve this function. There is a wealth of literature detailing the impact emotion has on individuals’ performance. This research has shown, for example, that people perform their best at work when they feel involved in purposeful work that develops who they are, and when they feel valued, cared for, consulted, respected, informed and understood. This research has also shown that people often perform their worst when they feel unproductive feelings, such as feeling overly worried, frustrated, concerned, stressed, inadequate and fearful.

Outcomes:

During this program, participants will improve their understanding of emotions and emotional intelligence. They will also explore and practise tools and techniques for applying emotional intelligence in their leadership, and creating high performance in others on that basis.

Specifically, participants will:

- explore the neuroscience of emotions and emotional intelligence,
- examine tools and techniques for effectively asking for, and responding to, feedback,
- explore techniques for developing self and other awareness,
- examine how they can use reactive and proactive techniques to build resilience and effectively manage strong emotions, and
- explore an approach for facilitating engagement discussions with their staff members.

Genos EI Leader Certification
Genos Certification Engaging Leader

About:

Most leaders recognise the importance of keeping people engaged, motivated and committed to their work and organisation. Indeed, it’s a common requirement of most leadership positions. However, most leaders will also tell you that keeping people engaged, motivated and committed isn’t so easy a task. Many factors influence an individual’s motivation ranging from day-to-day tasks, right through to the working styles of colleagues. What is motivating for one can be de-motivating for others. The Engaging Leader Program is a powerful one-day leadership program bringing together the latest developments in Neuroscience, Human Motivation and Emotional Intelligence to help leaders enhance levels of motivation, commitment and engagement in their teams.

Outcomes:

This program has been designed to help leaders enhance levels of motivation, commitment and engagement in their team.

Specifically, participants will:

- discuss what employee engagement is, how it’s typically measured and why it’s important to organisational performance,
- examine feedback on engaging leadership competencies and determine leadership behaviours they could demonstrate to enhance staff motivation and engagement, and
- practise applying models and techniques for enhancing individual staff motivation and engagement at work.

About:

The Mindful Leader Program is a powerful one-day leadership program bringing together the latest developments in Neuroscience, Mindfulness and Emotional Intelligence.

Leaders who practise mindfulness, and apply mindfulness techniques to their leadership of others, are better equipped to cope with everyday leadership challenges and create high performance in others.

During this program, participants will improve their understanding of emotions and emotional intelligence. They will also explore and practise tools and techniques for applying mindfulness as a means to improve the quality of their leadership.

Specifically, participants will:

- explore the science of emotions and emotional intelligence,
- examine the Genos model of emotional intelligence,
- review feedback about their emotionally intelligent leadership behaviour, and

Genos Certification Mindful Leader
Genos Certification Resilient Leader

About:

The Resilient Leader is a powerful one day program that brings together the latest developments in Neuroscience, Emotional Intelligence and Resilience to help leaders enhance their well-being, feel less stressed and facilitate resilience and well-being in their teams. Leaders high in self-management pay careful attention to the way they manage time and how they behave. They are often described as ‘resilient’ rather than ’temperamental’, and they use their self-management skills to create positive workplace cultures.
