Government Emergency Ordinance no. 124/2024 (GEO no. 124/2024) postponed from 1 January 2025 to 1 January 2026 the application of the new rules on the calculation of local taxes established by Government Ordinance no. 16/2022 on the amendment of Title IX “Local taxes and fees” of the Fiscal Code.
A new structure will be established within the Ministry of Finance to be responsible for implementing the property taxation reform.
