PwC Romania advised Raiffeisen Group in acquiring Garanti BBVA Romania

Bucharest, April 17, 2026 – PwC Romania has supported the Raiffeisen group (Raiffeisen Bank International AG and Raiffeisen Bank Romania) in finalising an agreement with Garanti BBVA Romania Group. This marks one of the most significant transactions in Romania's banking sector in recent years.

This acquisition, which includes 100% of the shares in Garanti Bank S.A. and its leasing division, Motoractive IFN S.A., is a strategic move for Raiffeisen Bank, enhancing its standing among Romania's top banks.
