Ana-Maria Butucaru

Ana-Maria is Assurance Partner and also the Financial Services Assurance Leader, representing PwC in front of banking, insurance and capital markets clients and their regulators. In her role, she set-up the Banking and Capital Markets Accounting Advisory practice of PwC Romania. 

With over 16 years of auditing and providing consulting services to financial institutions, Ana-Maria is a subject matter expert in IFRS and in European Financial services risk and regulatory requirements. She is the PwC Romania primary point of contact for National Bank of Romania and Financial Supervisory Authority in respect with regulatory and audit topics.  

Graduate of a Bachelor Degree in Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchanges from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, Ana-Maria has an Executive MBA from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
