EQUAL-SALARY CERTIFICATION
Equal salary certification is a process that involves assessing and ensuring pay equity within your organization.
PwC Romania supports companies to prepare for such certifications. Our partner, EQUAL-SALARY Foundation, is a global certification entity from Switzerland that focuses on equal pay for women and men. Its methodology is recognized by European Union and the Certification Label it issues weights as an ISO certification, following the same quality management principles.
How does it work?
- Statistical analysis - The quantitative analysis determines whether there is an unexplained remuneration gap between women and men, and necessary measures are taken if this is the case.
- Desktop review & on-site visits - The desktop review and on-site visit (carried out by PwC) assess management commitment to equal treatment, integration of the fair remuneration strategies within HR policies and practices, and employees’ perception of the company’s practices.
- Certification - If the organization meets all the above requirements, the EQUAL-SALARY Foundation issues the Certification Label which is valid for 3 years. The EQUAL-SALARY Label can be used in all of your communication such as its website, recruitment advertisements, letter heads, annual reports.
- Monitoring visits - Once certified, the organization must complete two further monitoring visits to demonstrate its ongoing commitment to a fair, non-discriminatory remuneration policy between men and women, and fulfillment of actions identified through the on site visit.
