Florin Deaconescu

Florin has spent a significant part of his career focusing on Oil & Gas Industry. He served clients in this sector in Romania and also in UK where he was seconded to PwC Aberdeen to work with Oil & Gas clients. Later on, he diversified his portfolio of clients to cover also sectors as Industrial Products, Technology & Telecommunication , Retail and Financial Services.

He has expertise in audit (statutory, IFRS, US GAAP, agreed upon procedures), as well as in due diligence, privatisations, audits around other types of business combinations (mergers, acquisitions or carve-outs).

Florin is currently the Audit Partner for clients such as Mazarine Energy and Black Sea Oil & Gas. In the past he led the audit for clients from upstream, refining, downstream and energy sectors such as Romgaz, Transgaz, E.ON Gaz, Rosia Montana Gold Corporation, Nuclearelectrica, Rafinaria Steaua Romana, Agip Romania.

At PwC Aberdeen Florin was involved also in audits for RWE Joint Ventures, ENI Upstream, Chevron Downstream, Subsea 7, Global SantaFe.

Florin was also part of the Due Diligence team working for OMV for the privatization of Petrom.
